Once you register and confirm your phone & email, you will still need to sign up for the email service itself.
There’s 2 reasons it’s designed this way:
a) We will have more than one service on Tapgad in the future.
b) Some people want to check a different email account than the one they signed up with.
So if you believe you’ve registered, but have had trouble using the system via your phone — please check to make sure you have signed up for the email service. You can get started here

Oliver Starr at Mobile Crunch wrote up an excellent joint review of 3 mail checking apps in the mobile field, including Tapgad…(thank you!)
Plusses for TAPGAD (besides creativity) are ease of installation (there is none), ability to use it on any SMS capable phone (basically all phones), it’s free (except for any SMS charges) and it’s really convenient for checking mail on an occasional basis.
Our thoughts exactly, Oliver! Tapgad realizes that not everyone has web enabled phones or wants to download applications just to check their mail. We aim to bring text message services to the larger majority of cell phone users - those with simple text messaging capabilities.

Welcome to Tapgad!
Tapgad is all about providing unique text message services that enable you to reach information from your phone. No need for a Blackberry, no need for a Web Enabled phone, no need for a data plan — just simple text messages.
The first service we bring to you is the ability to check your email via text messages. You use 3 simple one word commands to see your new emails, peek at them, or read the whole message. You can even reply or compose messages directly from your phone!
It’s FREE and it only takes a couple minutes to get set up — Get Started!
We’ll keep you posted as more services are added. Also, if you have any questions or suggestions, at all, we’d love to hear them. - Try us at the Contact Page or just post a comment in this blog.
Thanks and Enjoy!
